Travel Vaccination: Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before agreeing to use this service. By accepting these terms you declare that you and all other persons for whom you make bookings wish to take part in this service, and that all participants except those for which you or another participant serve as a legal guardian have understood the terms and conditions contained in this document as well as the following documents:

Any references to the “website” in these terms refers to www.practio.co.uk.

Any reference to “Practio” in these terms refers to Practio UK LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with registration number 11705491, with its registered address at Edward Pavilion, Albert Dock, Liverpool, England, L3 4AF. Practio UK LTD is wholly owned by Practio ApS (company registration number 36392576) located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Any reference to “service” in these terms means Practio’s provision of travel vaccination service.

Any reference to “you” means the recipient for the service.

01. Service description

The service is booked on the website and provided through one or more telephone consultations (“Consultation”) with Practio staff, followed by the administration of the prescribed injections at a pharmacy of your choice. Once an appointment for a Consultation is set up, one of Practio’s advisors (an “Advisor”) will call you at an agreed time to create a vaccination treatment plan based on information you provide, including but not limited to information about your travel plans and health (such as allergies). If vaccinations are required and are safe to provide (at the sole discretion of the issuing prescriber), Practio may issue the treatment plan and a Prescription, and you can then make one or more bookings (as necessary) for injection of vaccinations at a pharmacy of your choice. Payment is made at the pharmacy following each visit.

02. Prices and payment

No upfront payment when the Consultation is booked is required for the service. Payment is made following each visit at the chosen pharmacy, to cover all aspects of the service, including phone consultations, injection services, and the cost of medicines used for the service. The price of the service, including the price of the medicines to be administered, will be displayed on the website at the time of booking. Practio may at its sole discretion lower this price in accordance with discounts offered through other sources.

03. Cancellation and rebooking

You can cancel or rebook your service up to 24 hours before the booked Consultation  or injections, by contacting Practio at uk@practio.com.

04. Your obligations

By accepting these terms, you agree to the following obligations intended to ensure safe and effective delivery of the service, as well as integration with other healthcare providers:

  • You must be ready to complete a 5-15 minute call at the agreed time. If you fail to answer calls from Practio, you must contact Practio to book a new time for phone contact before the service can be continued.

  • You must provide complete and correct information on the questions, which the advisor or any other member of Practio may ask you during the Consultation, to ensure that vaccine provision is safe and effective given your specific circumstances and plans. This typically includes but is not limited to information about your travel plans, health, and contact details.

  • You must appear at the booked pharmacy at the time of booking. If you are prevented from appearing at the booked time, you must inform Practio promptly at uk@practio.com.

  • If, following a Consultation, you no longer wish to use the service, you must inform Practio promptly. In such circumstances Practio reserves the right to make a cancellation charge to you to cover the cost of any medicines which have been prepared for your use of the service and which cannot be reasonably re-allocated to another user. Please note that as the service is a contract for the supply of a medicinal product by a prescriber or under a prescription or directions given by a prescriber, your ordinary rights of cancellation without charge within 14 days under Part 3 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply unless these terms otherwise provide with the right to cancel.

  • You must ensure that any person for whom you make bookings as part of group consultations (and for whom you are not a legal guardian) has understood these terms and conditions, and you must take reasonable steps to ensure that the full group is available for appointments as part of this service.

  • You must inform Practio or the pharmacy at which appointments are booked if you develop medical conditions which may affect the safety or efficacy of booked injections, including but not limited to COVID-19 symptoms, severe flu symptoms on the day of injection or other symptoms which will render the vaccination unsafe for you or anyone else in the pharmacy. You must also inform Practio or the pharmacy promptly if any information provided concerning your travel plans, health or contact details has changed between your telephone consultation and the injection appointment. Upon being informed of such changes, Practio will make reasonable effort to adjust your treatment plan and/or rebook your appointments if necessary.

  • If you experience side effects, adverse events, or any other issues directly arising from vaccine injection, you must contact your GP and/or appropriate emergency services for help, then inform Practio.

  • If you experience a medicine-related side effect or adverse event, in addition to other obligations, you must contact the dispensing pharmacy or the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (through their “yellow-card” scheme).

  • If you are provided with vaccinations through this service, you are encouraged to inform your GP (and any other relevant healthcare professionals you engage with) of your use of this service to facilitate inclusion in their medical records.

05. Conditions and restrictions

By accepting these terms, you declare that you understand the following conditions and restrictions of your use of the service:

  • This service is only available to persons aged 2 or older. We are unable to provide travel vaccinations to infants below the age of 2. Please speak to your GP in advance of travelling if you have any concerns about your child’s health.

  • A legal guardian must agree to these terms on behalf of any person aged below 16.

  • Practio will use reasonable endeavours to make telephone consultations and pharmacy appointments for the delivery of vaccinations available within a reasonable time frame from the date of your booking, and will confirm availability at the point of booking. Practio’s service is subject to demand as well as the availability of Practio and pharmacy staff and medicines, and Practio does not guarantee that the service can be completed within a particular time frame or in advance of any travel date you may specify.

  • If Practio is unable to establish contact with you at the time booked for your telephone consultation, Practio may make additional attempts to contact you, but is not obligated to re-establish contact.

  • If you do not appear at a pharmacy at a booked time, Practio may make reasonable attempts at rebooking your appointments, but is not obligated to continue the service.

  • Practio may contact you in relation to your bookings, such as to provide a reminder or inform you of special circumstances affecting the Pharmacy or area in question.

  • When a booking request for use of the service is submitted by you, Practio may accept or reject it at its sole discretion for any reason, and will inform you as soon as reasonably possible whether your request has been accepted or rejected.

  • Where a booking has been accepted by Practio, Practio reserves the right to subsequently cancel the booking where this is reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside the control of Practio, such as vaccine shortages. When a booking is cancelled in such circumstances, Practio will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and you may contact Practio to reschedule.

  • By agreeing to these terms, you give your consent to Practio to process your personal data as required for the administration of the service, in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Policy. 

  • Nothing in these terms of use is intended to, nor shall it, confer a benefit on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 and a person who is not a party to these Terms of use has no rights to enforce them.

  • Nothing in these terms is intended to affect  or compromise your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and any other applicable consumer protection legislation.

  • These terms are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or the use of our products and services.

06. Feedback and Complaints

Practio welcomes any feedback from you in respect of your use of the service and we continuously work to improve our services based on such feedback. Complaints and feedback may be forwarded to the following address either by ordinary mail or by email at:

If you wish to submit a complaint, including if you are complaining on behalf of a person for whom you are a legal guardian or carer, Practio will respond to you as soon as possible. You will receive an initial reply to your complaint within 2 days and a final response within 28 days, except if exceptional circumstances require further processing time, in which case you will be notified of such delays.

07. Liability

Practio is liable for provision of the service as described in these terms and does not exclude or limit liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. 

Practio is not liable for any injury you incur at the premises of any pharmacy premises or during any other interaction with Practio or our services, unless this is the direct result of prescriptions, treatment plans, training, instructions, or contractual services provided by Practio. The physical dispensing of medicines does not form part of this service, and any errors in relation to such dispensing is solely the responsibility of the dispensing pharmacy. 

Practio prescribes medicines in accordance with information you provide to Practio during phone consultations and associated exchanges, as well as occasionally during your pharmacy visit(s). Practio therefore is not liable for loss or damage arising from our service or drugs prescribed if you supply incorrect or incomplete information, or if you fail to update Practio within a reasonable time where this information changes prior to the administration of vaccines.

Practio encourages you to inform your GP about your use of this service, and requires you to contact your GP and/or emergency services immediately for assistance if you experience side effects or adverse events as a result of this service, and is therefore not liable for damages which arise from your failure to inform or contact your GP or other healthcare professionals.
