There are other terms that may apply to you
Our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out the permitted uses and prohibited uses of our Website. When using our Website, you must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.
The purpose of the Website is to give you the opportunity to book a Travel Vaccination Consultation. In certain circumstances, a Travel Vaccination Consultation includes treatment with an anti-malarial drug. For more details, see the section Travel Vaccination Consultation.
The Website also works as a source of detailed information on the travel vaccination relevant for you to consider if you plan to travel abroad.
The purpose of the Website is not to promote the prescription, dispensing, sale or use of specific drugs. Practio does not sell drugs and the Website is in all respects product-neutral.
The Website offers free-of-charge services for personal use. Any commercial use is prohibited.
You may use most of the Website without booking appointments and without registering any information.
Practio offers the reservation of time slots for Travel Vaccination Consultations in co-operation with partnering pharmacies. A Travel Vaccination Consultation consists of (1) a phone consultation and (2) one or more injection visits in a partner pharmacy (together they constitute one "Travel Vaccination Consultation"). In special circumstances a Travel Vaccination Consultation may consist of only a phone consultation with subsequent dispensing of malaria medicine at a partner pharmacy.
The purpose of the phone consultation is to determine your recommended vaccination plan. The determination of recommended vaccines and/or anti-malarial drugs depends, among other things, on your destination. Practio's vaccination consultant will conduct the phone consultation with you over the telephone. After you book an appointment for a Travel Vaccination Consultation via the Website, the vaccination consultant will call you at the time selected by you to determine your vaccination plan.
The injection visit is a physical meeting at the pharmacy where you receive one or more injections according to your recommended vaccination plan. The vaccinator performs the injection(s) at the pharmacy. You book the time for your injection visit at the pharmacy during your phone consultation with Practio’s vaccination consultant.
You purchase the Travel Vaccination Consultation at the pharmacy where you receive and pay for the injection(s).
You do not enter into an agreement to any purchase via the Website. The Website is solely a service for you to make appointments for the phone consultation in preparation for your visit to the pharmacy to purchase a Travel Vaccination Consultation. It is when you appear at the pharmacy that you make your decision to purchase the Travel Vaccination Consultation from the pharmacy. Consequently, the sale and purchase of Travel Vaccination Consultation is not distance selling or sale outside of business premises.
At all times, you are entitled to cancel or change your booked appointment for phone consultation or injection visit at the pharmacy. You cancel or change your appointment by using the link in the email received from Practio, confirming your appointment, or by calling Practio. Practio's contact details are indicated below in the section Complaints, feedback and adverse effects.
We may need to cancel or change your appointment due to reasons outside of our control. If we need to cancel or change your appointment we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable.
It is free to book an appointment for a phone consultation and the following injection visit (which together comprise the Travel Vaccination Consultation) and you only decide whether you wish to purchase the Travel Vaccination Consultation when you appear at the pharmacy in person.
For Practio to plan its business, it is, however, important that you cancel any appointment booked if you are prevented from answering your telephone for the phone consultation or appearing at the pharmacy at the time for your booked appointment.
If you fail to cancel or change your appointment and you do not answer your telephone when Practio's vaccination consultant calls you, or if you fail to appear at the pharmacy at the time of your appointment, Practio reserves its right to charge you a fee of GBP 10.
You may cancel or change your appointment by using the link in the email received from Practio, confirming your appointment, or by calling Practio. Practio's contact details are indicated below in the section Complaints, feedback and adverse effects.
The vaccination consultant is a Practio employee who is qualified to perform the phone consultation for the Travel Vaccination Consultation, prescribe a medication plan and issue a patient specific direction to the vaccinator who will perform the vaccination at the pharmacy.
The vaccinators are employed by the pharmacy to perform injections. The vaccinators are authorised under a patient specific direction (prescription) issued by Practio’s vaccination consultant. Practio has the overall responsibility for the vaccinations. All vaccinators have been trained and certified by Practio. The vaccinators must at all times follow the instructions and guidelines provided by Practio, including but not limited to the relevant patient specific direction. Practio and its vaccination consultants are obligated to continuously supervise and provide quality assurance of all vaccinators. As described above, you enter into an agreement with the pharmacy when you appear in person at the pharmacy to purchase your Travel Vaccination Consultation. The vaccinator will inform you about the injection(s) and vaccine(s) when you appear at the pharmacy. The vaccinator will also ask for your consent to receive the vaccination in accordance with regulation 11 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. The pharmacy is obliged to retain the patient specific direction pursuant to which the vaccinator performed an injection. Practio makes the patient specific direction available to pharmacy through its electronic record system for the pharmacy to print store in accordance with mandatory law.
You will receive confirmation by email and text message from Practio if you book an appointment for a phone consultation with the vaccination consultant. You will also receive a reminder in respect of your appointment shortly prior to your appointment for a phone consultation or injection visit at the pharmacy.
If you fail to cancel your appointment, Practio will send you an email or a text message offering you to make a new appointment.
If you cancel your appointment on the Website, Practio will send you confirmation by email enabling you to make a new appointment. If you do not wish to make a new appointment, you may ignore the email. You will receive no further emails from Practio, unless you make a new appointment.
Your Consultation request is an offer to purchase the services and will not be binding on us until you book the time for your injection at the pharmacy with Practio’s vaccination consultant during your telephone consultation. When your Travel Vaccination Consultation has been performed at the pharmacy, you pay the fees directly at the pharmacy. On behalf of the pharmacy, Practio will subsequently send you an email including confirmation and a receipt.
After your Travel Vaccination Consultation, you may also receive a satisfaction survey in which case you are asked to answer a few questions about your experience. Participation in the satisfaction survey is voluntary. Practio uses the satisfaction survey responses for service improvement and development.
You pay for the Travel Vaccination Consultation at the pharmacy. The total price of a Travel Vaccination Consultation includes phone consultation, injection(s) and vaccine(s).
